Established in 1996

Etoile Mecanique is a specialized company providing services in the art and exhibition sector‭.‬ The company is located in Antwerp‭, ‬Belgium‭, ‬where offices and a workshop form the base from where projects are launched‭.

‬We both work directly for museums and institutions‭, ‬artists‭, ‬galleries and private collectors as well as working as subcontractor in bigger projects‭.‬

Our Team

Koen Mertens
Founder, designer, specialist mounting& pinning, mechanics

Starting in 1996‭, ‬Koen has rolled from one project into another as a natural born problem-solver-designer-maker‭. ‬Producing art works for the Belgian artist Wim Delvoye was the first of many projects in the art and exhibition world‭. ‬Koen was trained as a product designer and truly embodies the profession‭; ‬being able to see the bigger picture and not only focussing on one aspect of a‭ ‬project is his most important skill‭. ‬
Having more than 20‭ ‬years of experience in the sector‭, ‬he is the‭ ‬cornerstone‭ ‬of the company‭. ‬
